OUR COMMUNITY
The Friends of The Prepatoria is a volunteer group of parents, staff and our wider community supporters.
A bit like a school PTA, our Friends of Prepatoria (FOP for short) is a fun, friendly and proactive group.
All parents and carers of children at The Prepatoria nursery, pre-school or school, and all teaching and non-teaching staff are automatically members of the FOP. Those who are interested in being more involved with activities or the committee are warmly welcomed.
WHAT WE DO
Helping to further enhance the Prepatoria experience
The Friends of The Prepatoria supports The Prepatoria in the following ways:
Raising money for things that enhance the nursery, pre-school and school experience for children and team. For example: special offsite visits, onsite experiences and transport.
Improving The Prepatoria’s community spirit and further strengthening the relationships with our families. As well as engaging with the local community.
Holding events where parents, carers, children and staff can socialise and get to know each other better.
Sharing ideas, knowledge, connections and skills with the aim of enhancing the experience of our children and families whilst at The Prepatoria.
Fundraising activities
We’ve successfully tried out a few different fundraising initiatives, and we’re sure there are lots more ideas, connections and resources available within the Prepatoria wider community; if you can help, please get involved!
Here’s a few examples of our initiatives.
Carboot cash
Thanks to the generous donations of goods, and the hard work and early start from the volunteers involved in the Friends of Prepatoria carboot pitch. Funds raised are going toward enhancements for the toddler centre.
Funday Feast
A relaxed social gathering with toys, games, and a wonderful Sunday roast prepared by a former pro chef parent. Excellent team effort and donated raffle prizes. The funds raised helped purchase all the booster seats for the Prepatoria minibus.
Childrens’ Artwork
Childrens’ wonderful self portraits and handprints across The Prepatoria were preserved in print on our unique Christmas tea towels.
